^Every girl is reminded every day that it is their fault for “allowing” themselves to become victims. So thank you for bringing absolutely nothing to the table and encouraging a discourse that makes sure victims are too ashamed to come forward.

We live in a society that teaches us to “not get raped” rather than teaches to not rape. Women are taught the ways to avoid being assaulted. Don’t travel alone. Don’t wear provocative clothing. Be constantly vigilant of your surroundings because you are never safe. Go ahead and tell me that sexism and misogyny is nothing but a women being over sensitive. Tell me all about how I should have to walk the streets with pepper spray because there are monsters around the corner. Tell me that there aren’t women dying everyday because we live in a world where victims are to blame.
